    • Distinguish themselves by the costumes worn by the performers.
    • They are somewhat revealing, light filling, sexy yet sophisticated in nature
    • They are also distinguished by the nature of movements
    • They are freer and can be performed in close or open hold.

  • Ā CHA ā€“ CHA - CHA - Is a lively, flirtatious ballroom dance full of passion and energy.
  • Cuban Motion - This motion gives the Cha cha cha its unique style.
  • SAMBA - Is the national dance of Brazil, which originated in Africa. It is a dance during carnival time.
  • RUMBA -Ā Originates primarily from Cuba in the sixteenth century, which has its roots in African Rhythms brought to America by the slaves.
  • RUMBA - Is considered by many to be the most romantic and sensual of all Latin ballroom dance.
  • RUMBA - It is often referred to as the "Grandfather of the Latin dances." AND the ā€œDance of Loveā€.
  • PASO DOBLEĀ - Means ā€œdouble stepā€ which originated from Spain and is inspired by bullfighting.
  • PASO DOBLE - one of the most dramatic of all the Latin Dances.
  • JIVE - Was developed from the dance ā€œ jitterbugā€ from America
  • JIVE - An American dance that evolved from a dance called the Jitterbug by removing the lifts and acrobatic elements. Dancers use a more bouncy type movement using the balls of the feet. A lot of kicks are used in jive. Jive is a very fast, energy-consuming dance.
  • Waltz - Introduced in England in 1874 but it was in 1922 that it became as fashionable as Tango.
  • WALTZ - Is one of the smoothest ballroom dances. It is a progressive dance marked by long, flowing movements, continuous turns, and "rise and fall." The dance is so graceful and elegant; dancers appear to glide around the floor with almost no effort.
  • TangoĀ  - Was first danced in Europe before World War It originates from Buenos Aires ( Argentina ) where it was first danced in ā€œ Barrio de las Renasā€™' the ghetto of Buenas Aires
  • TANGO - Is one of the most fascinating of all ballroom dances.
  • Ā Foxtrot Was named after an American performer, Harry Fox, which premiered in 1914.
  • FOXTROT - Is a smooth dance in which dancers make long, flowing movements across the floor.
  • Quickstep - Is a quick version of the Foxtrot. It is a ballroom dance consisting of extremely quick stepping, syncopated feet rhythms, and runs of quick steps. Is exciting to watch, but among the most difficult of all is ballroom dance.
  • Viennese WaltzĀ  - IsĀ  a controversial dance with so many claims about its origin but known to be born in the modes outskirts of Austria and Bavaria.
