Endocytosis is the
process
of
particles
/
molecules
going
into
the cell.
The process is meant for
bigger
molecules
, usually food,
bacteria
, or
hormones.
Phagocytosis:
solid
particles enter the cell as
food
membrane
comes
out
to
trap
the particle
"
Phago
" means "
eating
"
Pinocytosis:
fluid
enters the cell
since it's
liquid
, the membrane just
opens
up
to let it
flow
into the soon-to-be
vesicle
"
Pino
" is for "
drinking
"
Receptor-Mediated Endocytosis:
protein-receptors
select
the molecules they
need
the molecules then
attach
to the
receptors
and get closed into a
vesicle
