Simple Random Sampling is when everyone is equally likely to be selected from every group.
Systemic Sampling is where everyone is allocated a number and every kth person is selected ie. every 5th person.
Stratafied Sampling is a random sampling technique where members of each group are randomly sampled so that each group is fairly represented ie. equal number of male and females.
Quota sampling is when you stop sampling a certain group after a quota is reached and therefore is not random ie. stop receiving responses from men after 30 men answer.
Convenience Sampling is when you survey anyone you find and is not random.

Continuous quantitative data has unlimited values.
Discretequantitative data has limited values.
A population encompasses everyone whilst a sample encompasses data measured.
