• horizontal measurement- measurements are taken from the left of the figure to the right
• vertical measurement- measurements from top of the body figure to its base
• circumferential measurement- measurements around the body
• shoulder- measure from one shoulder tip point to another shoulder tip point
• shoulder to neck- from the base of the neck along the top of the shoulder to the shoulder socket
• across back- from the arm hole across back to arm hole positioning tape measur
• full back- measure from the side seam, under the armpits to the side seam across the back
• bust distance- taken from one bust point to the other bust point
• sleeve length- taken from the shoulder tip point down to the desired length in the arms
• length of pants- taken along the side waist point down to the desired length
• crotch- measured by placing a ruler under the crotch then measure below the waist band down to the top level of the ruler
• shoulder to bust- from the tip of the shoulder to the center of the bust
• shoulder to waist- from the tip of the shoulder over the bust to the natural waist line
• down center back- measure from the nape of the neck to the natural waistline
• down shoulder to waist- taken from the tip of the shoulder to the natural waist line
• underarm to wrist- from the under the arm start at the armpit to the wrist
• overarm to wrist- from the outer shoulder socket on the outside of the arm to the wrist with a bent arm
• bust- measurement aroud your body, crossing over the fullest part of your bust
• arm girth- measurement around the fullest part of the arm in line with the armpit
• neck- taken around th neckline
• waist- taken around the smallest part of the wais
• hip- taken around the fullest part of the hip
• leg hole- around the leghole at its widest pont
• steeve hole- around the shoulder under the armpit
