Process of a cell dividing
1. Interphase: The cells prepare for division by growing and replicating its DNA
2. Prophase: Chromatin condenses into chromosomes and the nuclear membrane dissolves
3. Metaphase: Chromosomes line up along the centre of the cells
4. Anaphase: Chromatids separate and move at opposite ends of the cells
5. Telophase: Chromatids reach the poles and new nuclear membranes form around them
6. Cytokinesis: The cell divides into two daughter cells, each with a complete set of chromosomes
