mRNA attaches to a ribosome on the RER producing a protein
2. the RERfolds and processes the proteins which are then sent in vesicles to the golgi body
3. the vesicles fuse with the Golgiapparatus, releasing the proteins into the golgi, the golgiapparatus modifies the proteins, preparing them for secretion
4. the modified proteins then leave the golgiapparatus in vesicles
5. if protein is being secreted it fuses with the plasmamembrane and goes through exocytosis
