Boyle's law and Charles's law

Cards (8)

  • Boyle's law

Deals with pressure and volume at constant temperature
  • When pressure increases

Volume decreases (as per Boyle's law)
  • According to Charles' law, volume and temperature are directly proportional at constant pressure
  • When volume decreases

Temperature also decreases (as per Charles' law)
  • Celsius to Kelvin: K = C + 273.15
  • Kelvin to Celcius: C = K - 273.15
  • Fahrenheit to Celsius: C= (F-32) x 5 / 9
  • Celsius to Fahrenheit: F = C (9/5) +32
