    1. Research shows an offender's release day can make a difference to that person's likelihood of reoffending
    2. Those with stable accommodation lined up are 50% less likely to commit further offences
    3. ⅓ leave custody on a Friday- this gives them a few hours to access critical support e.g. finding a bed for the night, registering with a GP and signing up to the jobcentre before services shut for the weekend

    • Know that transformational change must and can happen for women who are facing criminalisation
    • Actively strive to be feminist and antiracist- challenging oppressive systems of privilege and celebrating the power and diversity of women
    • Challenging injustices against women in prisons
  • Majority of Women in Prison's money comes from events and activities but they also spend the most on charitable activities

    • They produce a magazine that is distributed nationally across women's prison estates and communities- providing information, support and advice while also giving a platform to voices of women in prisons that educates people on the outside
    • Provide opportunities for women to be heard- believe in the power of the creative arts as a therapeutic tool

    They organise the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in contact with the justice system (APPG)- helps to influence politicians and put forward suggestions for change in the system
