  • mostly single celled

  • single-celled organisms

  • slime layer / capsule
  • flagella
  • no nucleus - contain plasmids
  • have one circular chromosome
  • some can photosynthesise
• Viruses :

  • very small
  • parasites
  • not made of cells
  • DNA or RNA is surrounded by a protein coat
