    Promises made between people are promises to God. Eg. wedding vows

    A journey made to a sacred place as an act of worship or devotion

    Features of the wedding ceremony that indicate the purpose of marriage. Eg wedding ring symbolise eternal love.

    The belief that God will judge whether or not humans are worthy to enter heaven.

    Place in the afterlife, where the soul goes. Good people will go to heaven, people who have good qualities.

    Place in the afterlife, where the soul goes. Bad people are punished here.

    The ability to make particularly moral choices voluntarily.
  • Eucharist
    Meaning Thanksgiving/ Holy Communion. Service which celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus.
  • Confirmation
    Rite through which a person who has been baptised confirms their christian belief and they become a full member of the church.
  • Bible
    Christian sacred text believed by Christians to be inspired by god. Made up of the Old and New Testament.
  • Baptism
    Rite of initiation through which epode become members of the church. This means to immerse in water, water that symbolises the washing away of sin.
