  • Religious Faith involves people placing their trust in the divine. It is based on religious teachings and convictions. Religious faith is expressed through prayer and worship and the commitment to the rituals of a particular religious community. The religious faith of a person/ believer changes depending on a persons circumstances life stages and experiences
  • As a person grows/ages their religious faith which involves their image of God and the relationship they have with their God can grow/change. This can be linked with how a person starts off as a baby and with time develops physically and emotionally as they move into adulthood. These changes are of course gradual and are shaped by circumstances and experiences. This religious development is sometimes reffered to as spiritual development. (Spiritual is the term given to engaging with something that is seen as sacred or beyond human reality)
  • What do atheists and cultures of unbelief have in common ?
    Atheist individuals and cultures of unbelief are as diverse as religious ones. What unities them is the drive to seek meaning and purpose in life
  • Why can religious and atheist worldviews provide answers for people even for those who do not support their view ? 

    Both religion and atheism worldviews that promote what they think is the way the world should be viewed and understood. If something is understood whether you agree with it or not it allows you to comprehend its meaning/remove the mystery around it and to accept it fully in part or not agree with it at all

    Meaning is how someone or something is defined as well as the reason for doing something. While the purpose is the fulfilment or consummation of the meaning one intends the other accomplishes
