Conscientious Objectors (Jewish)

• Conscientious objectors = people that refuse to fight in particular war as feel it’s unjustified.
• Jewish Peace Fellowship -organisation that supports conscientious objectors.
• Two aims:

  • work to abolish war and create a community of concern exceeding national boundaries and selfish interest;
  • refrain from participation in war or military service
• Some Jews support conscientious objectors, but many don’t - they agree, want peace but issue = how it’s achieve.
