• What is temperate climate?

  50-60 north/ south of equator. Temperatures around -5 - 25C.
• What is tropical climate?

  Found along the equatorial belt. Experiences heavy rainfall and thunderstorms throughout the year.
• What is desert climate?

  Found 30 degrees north / south of the equator. Sinking dry air leads to high temperatures without rainfall.
• What is polar climate?

  Cold air sinks causing harsh, dry, cold conditions. Found near the north and south poles.
