Iron- Required in several Electron transport substances of cell and some material
Boron- plays a major role in cell wall biosynthesis
Zinc- required for the production of amino acid tryptophan , auxins is derived from tryptophan, Is indirectly required in production of auxins, required as a cofactor in some DNA polymerase enzyme
Manganese- Required as a cofactor of enzyme in oxidative metabolism and photosynthetic oxygen production
Chlorine- requires in ionic balance and maintenance of Cellular membrane potential. and needed in production of oxygen in photosynthesis
Molybdenum- Needed in dinitryfying and nitrogen-fixing enzyme in microorganisms. Also needed by the nitrate reductase enzyme
Copper- component of some enzyme and cytochrome
Iron -Deficiency results in Intervienal chlorosis characterized by the yellowing of of leaves along the vein that is confine to the younger leaves
Boron -Deficiency results in abnormally dark foliage, growth abnormalities and Malformation. Root tip also shows
Zinc -Deficiency produces in small leaves and stunting of stem owing to short internodes
Manganese -Deficiency produces mottled, characteristics form of chlorosis leaf yellowing
Chlorine -Deficiency results in Very small leaves and Slow Growth. leaves become wilted, chlorotic or necrotic and eventually become bronze colored
Molybdenum -Deficiency results in low productivity
Copper -Deficiency results in lowered rate of protein synthesis and sometimes chlorosis. Young leaves may be dark green and twisted, with dead spot
