  • Photo editing- The process of manipulating and enhancing a photo.
  • Pixel - The smallest unit of a digital image or graphic
  • Bitmap/raster - A graphic created from rows of different colored pixels
    that together form an image.
  • Vector/Object-oriented: graphic consists of shapes, curves, lines, and text which together make a picture.
  • Dimension- length and width of a digital image
  • Resolution/Pixel density- It refers to the number of pixels in an image
  • More pixel=higher resolution
  • Color scheme -an arrangement or combination of colors
  • 3 types of color scheme:
    1. Achromatic
    2. CMYK
    3. RGB
  • Brightness- The lightness and the darkness of
    the image
  • Contrast- The difference between the light and dark
    areas of an image.
  • Shadow- dark part of an image
  • Highlight- Light part of an image
  • Hue- The attribute that allows colors to be classified as red, yellow, green, blue, or an intermediate color
  • Saturation- The amount of white light or grayness mixed with a hue. It affects how intense, vibrant, or dull a color is.
