  A systematic approach used to identify and analyze the vulnerabilities and capacities of communities or systems to various hazards and risks. It helps to understand the factors that contribute to vulnerability and resilience, guiding the development of targeted interventions to reduce risks and enhance resilience.

  • SUSCEPTIBILITY- may be obtained from hazard mapping
  • ADAPTIVE CAPACITY- may be inferred from community resource mapping, livelihood assets assessment
