    He was able to encircle 72,000 Austrians with his 200,000 army of French men. 50,000 Austrians were killed/captured/wounded and the 27,000 that escaped were made to surrender. In one part 4600 men were captured to only 16 casualties because of his speed and strategy. He ensured commanders were experienced unlike the Austrians. In total there were 2000 French deaths to 60,000 prisoners.
