Crucifixion - main events

• Brought Jesus to Golgotha (place of the skull)
• He got offered wine mixed with myrrh + rejected it
• Dividing his clothes they cast lots to see what each would get
• 9 am they crucified him
• THE KING OF THE JEWS - (INRI)
• He got crucified with to criminals on either side of Him
• Those who passed Him hurled insults at him
• At noon darkness come over the whole whole land until 3 pm
• At 3pm Jesus cried out “My God My God why have you foresaken me?”
• Someone tried to offer a spindle filled with white vinegar on a staff to Jesus to drink
• Jesus Breathed his last - he said ‘It is finished’
• The curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom
• The centurion said “surely this man was the Son of God!”
