  • Research
    A systematic and scientific process to answer questions about facts and relationship between facts. An activity involved in seeking answer to unanswered questions.
  • Related literature

    A discussion on the secondary sources of data taken from local or foreign references, observing proper documentation.
  • Statement of the problem
    An expanded reiteration of the title but expressed as a problem. The major problem should be brief with few sentences including the essential nature of it.
  • Data
    Units of information or any statistics, facts, figures, general material evidence or knowledge collected during the study.
  • Demographic variables
    The characteristics and attributes of study subjects as age, gender, place of living, educational status, religion, social class, marital status, occupation, income.
  • Sample
    A part of the subset of population selected to participate in the research study.
  • Validity
    The degree to which an instrument measures what it is intended to measure.
  • Research setting
    The study setting is the location in which the research is conducted. It could be natural, partially controlled environment or laboratories.
  • Term
    A word or expression that has a precise meaning in some uses or is peculiar to science, art, profession, or subject.
