    • Can survive up to three and a half hours in conditions where the amount of dissolved oxygen temporarily drops to hypoxic levels

    • Endemic to the Great Barrier Reef, from the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula to the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef

    • Males mature at 55-60 cm in length
    • Females at 55-64 cm and grow 107 cm
    • Eggs are about 10 cm long, 4 cm wide
    • Young are 15 cm in length when they hatch
