• Features of Democratic decisions:

  • similar to Australian government system
  • split decision so have discussion and decide which one they prefer - majority rules
• Democracy: A system of government where the power lies with the people
• Australias representative democracy:

  • Designed to give all citizens a say in major decisions affecting many people
• australia's political system is based on the Westminster system used in Britain
• there are three different sections of government:

  • the parliament (legislature) to make the laws
  • the executive to administer the laws and carry out the business of government
  • the judiciary (courts) to enforce the laws
