LO2.5 - reasons for reviewing policies

• reviewing policies and procedures

  • only useful if they’re based on latest laws and regulations
  • must always reflect the aims and needs of organisations
  • can be serious consequences for any setting if policies out of date
• Review them to:

  • ensure reflect any changes in legislation
  • keep them up to date
  • identify any issues that need addressing
  • check they still meet the settings needs
  • check they’re being implemented currently
  • ensure they’re still fit for purpose
  • amend them after incident or situation
