Spiritual Assessment Techniques
1. Listen to client's story and seek clarification when needed
2. Observe verbal and non verbal communication patterns in presence of others
3. Begin to focus questions
4. Continue to assess other dimensions of spirituality within groups
5. Directly address beliefs that may conflict or affect one's health care
6. If the client is dying, How do your beliefs affect the kind of (nursing) care you would like me to provide over the next few days/weeks/months
