    A schools that wastes money and get poor results is not favoured by consumers so therefore achievement decreases, it gets a less qualified workforce and a less prosperous economy.

    They compared American state schools and private schools.

    They were more efficient as the had to please the consumers in order to survive (fee paying parents).
