    • What are pathogens?

      Microbes that cause diseases
    • How do vaccines work?
      A dead or altered form of the pathogen is injected into the body containing a specific antigen, causing white blood cells in the immune system to produce complementary antibodies which target and attach to the antigen
    • What is phagocytosis?
      When a white blood cell engulfs and digests a pathogen
    • What happens after antibodies attach to the antigen?
      They attach and clump pathogens together allowing for phagocytosis
