    1.walk - step in directions.
    2.run - push the body through by suspending it in the air.

    5.leap - spring on one foot and land one the same foot.
    6.jump - spring on both feet and land on one or both feet.
  • non-locomotor (axial)
    1.bend or flex - move the body around a wide axis.
    2. extend, straighten - body is stretched.
    3. lift, raise - elevating the body to a desired level.
    4.twist - move the body around the long axis.
    5. circle - move around a point.
    6. swing - move continuously from one point to the other.
    7. turn, rotate - change directions to move around an axis.
  • hiphop - a dance formed a developed in the streets, is characterized by different dance styles. This "new style" type of dance has evolved as part of the dance industry, This was influenced by jazz which they called "jazz-funk".
  • interpretative dance - translates the feelings and emotions of human conditions, situations, or fantasies into movement and dramatic expression.

    • breaking - footwork, acrobatic moves
    • krumping - sharp, fast-paced moves
    • swaying - waving hands in the air
    • stomping - making sounds using feet
    • swagging - body flex
    • turning - moving the body around
    • hopping - slight striding in the air
    • locking - freeze or sudden pause
    • popping - quickly contracting and relaxing the muscles
