What is enlightenment

• Enlightenment is whole new way of seeing the world
• Siddhartha understood what suffering is, why we suffer, how to prevent and overcome it
• Siddhartha learnt about his previous lives and how everything is constantly changing
• Because things are impermanent we suffer
• The buddha experience nirvana when he became enlightened
