• E - through the use of word choice in the line ' approval without words ' duffy created the idea of permission and consent by using ' approval '. this conveys the idea that the photographer is aware of his intrusion and aware that it can be seen as invasive. this proves photographers care and have empathy towards humanity.
• L - this furthers the poems strong message and that the ethics of documenting war is complex but highly important.
