  • Research - an inquiry or investigation to find a solution to a problem, to address or meet a need aand to provide new knowledge and information.

  • Research paper - an expanded essay that presents your own interpretation, evaluation, or argument.
  • Introduction - introduces the background information of the topics
  • Review of Related Literature - present what has and has not been researched on the problem by explaining the basis of the theoretical framework.
  • Methodology - present he procedures in data gathering.
  • Results and Discussion - presentation and analysis of data as well as the interpretation are included in this section.
  • Concept - it refers to a mental idea or phenomenom. These are words or terms that symbolize some aspects of reality e.g. love, pain.
  • Research Topic - a subject or issue that a researcher is interested in when conducting a research.
  • Limitation - restrictions in a study that may describe the credibility and generalizability of the research findings.
  • Descriptive study - a research design that describes "what is" (e.g. a survey)
  • Quantitative research - the process of collecting and analyzing numerical data.
  • Variables - attributes or characteristics that can have more than one value, such as height or weight. These are qualities or quantities, properties or characteristics of people, things, of situation that change or vary.
  • Independent variables - purposely manipulated, also called as manipulated variables.
  • Dependent variables - depend on the factors that are measured. Expected to change as a result of an experimental manipulation of the independent variables or variables.
  • Socio Demographic Profile - include sex, age, education, etc.
  • Research question - the question around which a research center his/her research.
  • Literature review - its a critical summary or research on a topic of interest, generally prepared to put a research problem in context or to identify gaps and weaknesses in prior studies so as to justify a new investigation.
  • Plagiarism - the unthical practice of using words or ideas of another author.
  • Data gathering tools - refer to the devices/ instruments used to collect a data such as questionnaire or computer- assisted interviewing system.
  • Questionnaire - is a set of question used to gather information in a survey.
  • Respondents - those person who have been invited to participate in a particular study and have actually taken part in the study.
  • Sample - a part or a subset of population selected to participate in the research study.
  • Data - an information that can be words or numbers\
  • Analysis - a method of organizing, sorting, and scrutinizing data in such a way that research question can be answered or meaningful inferences can be drawn.
  • Data presentation - involves the use a variety of different graphical techniques.
  • Conclusion - provides a summary of research.
  • In-Text citation - the brief form of the reference included in the body of one's work.
  • Bibliography - a list of all resource used in the process of researching.
