Osmosis

• Osmosis :

  The diffusion of water across a partially permeable membrane from a high concentration of water to a low concentration of water
• to investigate osmosis a solution with a high sugar concentration is separated from Solution with a low sugar concentration by a partially permable membrane such as visking tubibg
• When investigating for osmosis two solutions are measured then left for a period of time and then measured again too see if the water has moved avriss the membrane from dilute to concentrated
• If the water has moved this means the more concentrated solution has inc in mass and the dilute dec in mass
