Sarcolemma
is a cell membrane of a
striated
muscle cell.
Myofibrils
are basic
rod-shaped
units of muscle cell.
In a muscle the cells will
join
up to make the muscles
fibres.
In the muscle cell cytoplasm there are many
mitochondria
,
sarcoplasmic
reticulum and microfibrils.
Each muscle fibre is surrounded by a
cell surface
which is known as the
sarcolemma.
This muscle will appear
stripy
under a microscope.
Each muscle fibre is made up if
myofibrils.
Myofibrils
appear in different
colour
bands.
A-bands
are dark.
I-bands
are light.
