  • Sound and Rhythm is something that make use of the spoken nature of poetry.
  • Theme or Content pertains to the general thought or idea of the whole composition.
  • Style refers to the choices of words and sentence structures use to convey the message and hold the attention of the readers.
  • Form and Structure is the sequence of topic and transition that make up the whole essay reflects on them.
  • Plot or Story Line is the plot of the story that build.
  • Characters it can be humans nor animals, and everything who have been the newest member of the story.
  • Setting is the time and place from which the story happened.
  • Theme is the central thought or idea of the whole story.
  • Language and Style pertains to the choices of words the writer uses. This includes the sentence structures and figurative language that affect the mood or tone of the story.
  • Point of View this may be presented using third person point of view, which means the narrator represent the author himself or herself.
  • Ethnic Tradition this consist of ethnic songs, narratives, proverbs, prayers, and invocations, and riddles.
  • Epic relates adventure of a hero with supernatural power. This also sung or chanted before an audience during social gatherings. And serve as a code of values of particular ethnic group.
  • Folk song refers to a song that is transmitted orally from one generation to another. It usually has its melody and expresses ideas, emotions, and thoughts of the community.
  • Proverbs are concise statements that teaches ideas on morality and tradition. Usually expresses a rhyming pair of lines that depicts two different elements.
  • Riddles describes an object in an entirely different manner, or in a way that is not readily understood.
  • Short Poems usually has four lines with 5-12 syllables per line.
  • Poetic Jousts this involves marriage negotiation between two families.
  • Spanish Colonial Tradition this poetic tradition comprises religious and secular lyric poems and narrative poems.
