• Eyepiece (ocular lens)


  Allows you to view the image, contains the ocular lens

  
• Objective lens


  These are found on the nose-piece and range from low (4x) to high power(100x).

• Substage illuminator (lamp)


  lamp that allows light to enter the condenser, objective lens, and eyepiece

  Moves the stage up and down for focusing

  
• Fine adjustment knob


  this part moves the stage slightly to help you sharpen or "fine" tune your view of the specimen
