    Moves the stage up and down for focusing
  • Fine adjustment knob
    this part moves the stage slightly to help you sharpen or "fine" tune your view of the specimen
  • Nosepiece
    Holds the objectives and can be rotated to change the magnification
  • Stage
    platform that holds the slide and the specimen

    supports the microscope
  • Cover clips
    A small plastic or glass piece that is used to cover a water drop on a slide
