  Aim :observe the effect of different factors on reaction time

  Person A holds out their hand with a gap between their thumb and first finger.

  Person B holds the ruler with the zero at the top of person A's thumb.

  Person B drops the ruler and Person A must catch it.

  The distance on the ruler level with the top of person A's thumb is recorded in a table.

  Repeat this ten times,swap places

  Aim :estimate an organisms population

  Divide the area to be sampled into a grid using measuring tapes placed at right angles to each other.

  Use random numbers to generate coordinates within the grid on which to place the quadrats.

  Place a quadrat at each coordinate.

  Estimate percentage cover of each species in each quadrat.

  Use a key to identify each species.

  Record results in a table.

  Calculate the average of each species.
