• Analogy is a comparison between two (2) things and it explains an idea by showing something similar or different to it.
• Types of Analogy:

  1. Characteristics
  2. Part to whole
  3. Type/Kind
  4. Function
  5. Cause and Effect
• Characteristics - having the same/different feature or description
• Part to whole - containing the part or section of something and the whole
• Type/Kind - Having the same kind or category as the other
• Function - having to serve the same purpose as the other
• Cause and Effect - A thing that make something else to happen
