Theory that Adam and Eve disobeyed God = Original sin = evil.
In Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were told not to eat forbidden fruit from the “Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil’, but ate = got punished for actions - endure suffering in life (the fall).
Believe humans are born with (inherited) tendency towards evil and cause suffering (Original sin).
“… the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth.” Genesis 8:21
Believe world created by God = initially good, but humans were given free will by God to make moral choices.
Believe, power for good (God) and for evil - Satan or Devil, thought to have been archangel who disobeyed God, so was thrown out of heaven.
Everyone is born with Original Sin. Baptism washes this away and allows one to start fresh with God.
