Process of Respiratory system

• Pulmonary Ventilation process

  • act of breathing to move in & out of lungs
• • The exchange of gases between the air in the alveoli and the bloodstream: oxygen enters the blood and carbon dioxide exits the bloodstream 


  External Respiration process
• • The transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide between the lungs and the body via the bloodstream.


  Transport of gases
• • The exchange of gases between the bloodstream and the tissues of the body:
  • oxygen enters the tissues and carbon dioxide enters the bloodstream.


  Internal Respiration
• • The use of oxygen by cellular machinery to convert glucose to cellular energy in the form of ATP, producing carbon dioxide as a waste product.
