  • Republic Act No. 9211, also known as the Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003, protects the people from sale and use of harmful tobacco products and bans tobacco use in public places, hospitals, airports, food centers, and other places frequented by a lot of people
  • RA 9211 also prohibits the sale of tobacco product to minors under the age of 18, and requires companies to show warning and graphic on the packages of products in order to inform the public of the harmful effects of tobacco use
