  • The Philippine's major crops are rice plant, corn plant, sugarcane, abaca plant, and the tobacco plant.
  • The native fruits that are the most abundant in the Philippines are Abaca, Durian, Mangoes, Narra, and Balete.
  • The Philippine's endemic species include the tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis) or Mindoro dwarf buffalo. They also include the tarsier (Haplorrhine primates) which are mostly found in Bohol, and the Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi) or monkey-eating eagle can be found in four major islands, which are the eastern Luzon, Samar, Leyte, and in Mindanao. Other animals include the palm civet cat, the mouse deer, the Visayan warty pig, snakes, pythons or cobras, and some species of bats can also be found in the Philippines.
  • The Philippine rainforests are very prideful when it comes to their orchids, and plants. Examples of these plants are the Rafflesia lobata, mira, and speciosa. The other examples for orchids are the Spathoglotiss, Waling-waling, Gastrochilus, and more.
  • There are 3 types of rocks, Igneous rocks are formed from melting and combining together, Metamorphic rocks are formed from rocks reforming, and fusing together through heat, pressure, and time. Sedimentary rocks are formed from rocks that have been compressed, and cemented together with pressure and time.
  • Soil is composed of organic matters such as minerals, gases, and liquids that support life such as plants and soil organisms like worms.
  • Coal is a black, combustible mineral resulting from the decompostion, pressure, and heat turning vegetation, and plants into coal.
  • Fossil fuels are organic substances that can be used as a source of energy, examples of these are coal, petroleum, and more that could be found underground.
  • Mineral resources such as metals, alloys, chromite, and more minerals are plentiful due to the Philippine's volcanic nature.
