    • A method called Shechitah is used to prevent causing a creature pain when slaughtering it
    • A sochet, who carries out the slaughter of animals, must be Jewish and live a good, moral life.
    • Most Jews will obey kashrut JUST because they know God commanded it
    • ‘Bring your first fruits to the Temple of God your Lord. Do not cook meat in milk, even that of its mother.’ Exodus 23:19​
    • Kitchen utensils must be kept separate in preparing meat and milk products (some Jews have separate places in their kitchen)
