The 'Heil Hitler' salute was a standard greeting used throughout Germany, especially between teachers and students. It's estimated that each child said between 50 and 150 times a day.
In January 1934, it was declared that the number of women admitted into German universities should be no more than 10% of men admitted. In 1932, over 18000 women were university students, by 1939, there was less than 6000.
