CIRCUITS

Cards (6)

  • In a series circuit, the current is the same throughout as it has no choice of route. EX - if current of the series system is 10 A , COMP A = 10 A , COMP B = 10 A .
  • In a series circuit, the voltage across the components adds up to the voltage of the cell. EX - if voltage of the cell is 15 V , COMP A = 7.5 V , COMP B = 7.5 V .
  • In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each component is equal to the voltage of the cell. EX - CELL = 15 V , COMP A = 15 V , COMP B = 15 V .
  • In a parallel circuit, the current has a choice of route. EX - if total current of a parallel system is 20 A , COMP A = 10 A , COMP B = 10 A .
