Food tests

• Benedict's test for sugars. Turn from blue to orange yellow or brick-red
• Iodine test for starch. Starch turns black
• Biuret test for proteins. Blue colour changes to purple/violet
• Sudan III tests for lipids. Two separate layers. Top layer will be bright red.
