Religious and ethical responses

• Absolute morality - when a person has rules which apply to all situations in all circumstances

  e.g. it’s always wrong to kiss is an absolute rule
• Relative morality - when a person has moral rules but is prepared to adapt or adjust them in certain situations

  e.g. it’s wrong to kill but if it reduces suffering it may be necessary to take life in a war
