    Self- gov by 1920 white the white settler community dominating the legislative assembly. Heavily taxed the Kikuyu tribe causing stirs of nationalis. until the Devonshire Act
  • Devonshire Act 1923
    Colonial office in London stressed that the needs of native Africans needed to be respected
  • Southern Rhodesia- white settler colony
    White population dominant by 1923 by taking political power
  • Union of SA- white settler colony
    White population dominant. promises to respect native rights from 1910 were eroded. statue of Westminster 1931 allowed this dominance to continue
