• newtons first law

  a body will remain at rest or continue to move in a straight line with constant speed unless resultant force acts on it
• newtons second law

  if a resultant force acts on a body it will change speed or direction (accelerate)
• newtons third law

  to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction
• resultsnt force = mass x acceleration
• when there is a lot of friction between two surfaces they grip well, when there is little friction the surfaces slip
