Philosophical Challenges due to Belief in God

Cards (4)

    • Evil and suffering often make Christians question God's omnipotence, omnibenevolence, or his omniscience. (e.g. if all-powerful, why natural disasters? If all-loving, why suffering? If all-knowing, why evil acts?)
    • Dilemma is called the Problem of Evil.
    • If God is omnipotent and omnibenevolent, evil wouldn't exist, but it does.
    • So, either God is not all-powerful as he can't stop suffering, or he's not all-loving as he doesn’t want to stop suffering
