  1. white blood cells engulf pathogens and destroy them
  2. produces antitoxins , bind and counteract toxins to prevent any damage
  3. produced antibodies

  1. Lymphocytes detect the foreign pathogen and create anitbodies
  2. this can take a few days which is why you feel sick
  3. antibodies cause pathogens to stick together which makes them easier for white blood cells to engulf them
  4. the body rememberers the antibodies and replicates them much quicker in future
