Earth's Season

• Season is the period of the year that is distuinguish by special climate conditions.
• Spring is characterized with warm weather and flowers start to bloom and animals starts to wake up from hibernation
• Summer is hottest time of the year
• Autumn or Fall is when leaves from the trees fall to the ground and animals prepare for the cold
• Winter is characterized by snow and ice and animal find ways to warmth themselves
• Direct rays are rays from the sun that hits the ground at 90 degrees
• Direct rays are vertical/perpendicular rays
• Oblique rays are slanted rays
• Oblique rays comes on a oblique angle from the sun
• in June the Northern hemisphere is tilted in the sun
• In Summer around june 21 we experience the longest day.TRUE
• Southern Hemisphere recieves oblique rays.
• September 23 is the time daytime and nighttime is equal they call it the Autumn Equinox
• March 21 is another time where nighttime and daytime is equal too but they call it this time spring/vernal equinox
• Equal amount of daylight and darkness is called Equinox
