• Participants presented with sensory stimuli that elicit specific cognitive processes (depending on what is being studied).
• Good temporal resolution. Measures brain activity in real time
• Non-invasive. No radiation
• Inexpensive compared to other measurements.
• Hard to decipher exact location neuron fired from.
• Expensive training required - interpretation very academic and complicated
• Hard to remove as much, preferably all, extraneous stimuli from the environment.
